Masterplan for new business development nearby the new housing project Blauwmeer. The site is on an old mining lake near the aluminium refining area of Paranam approx. 20 km from Para-maribo. The programme consists of hotel apartments, conference rooms, office & meeting rooms, dining, shopping and watersports pier.
The client’s wish of not letting the parking area dominate the whole of the site is tackled by introducing a covered walkway which leads from the parking area to the dining and watersports facilities. Along the walkway commercial units are situated. This pedestrian zone is flanked by the “apartmotel” - the residential side – and a green park area on the other side. Business units along a delivery road mark the north boundary of site.
